The Rye Lodge Hotel is a small independent hotel, located in the heart of medieval Rye just beyond the town’s ‘Landgate’. There are 18 spacious en suite bedrooms including the ‘Penthouse’ which has 360 degree views of the town, the river and the fishing boats.
There is a guest bar and lounge, and a pool and sauna which hotel guests have unlimited and complimentary use of. Massage and beauty treatments are also available (to be booked in advance with Reception). The outside terrace, with views over the town salts, is perfect for enjoying a drink on a summer’s afternoon. Unusually for Rye, the Hotel has a private car park which is free to residents. Rye Lodge is just a few minutes’ walk along the High Street to Rye’s shops, bars and restaurants, the 12th century church of St Mary’s and the Ypres Tower and Gun Gardens.
From the moment you arrive at Rye Lodge you will enjoy the personal service that an independent hotel such as ours can offer. Our friendly reception staff will be pleased to greet you and help you to settle in. They have a wealth of information to offer you about Rye and Surrounding area, and will be pleased to help you with any queries or special requirements you have during your stay. Explore historic Rye or enjoy country walks and nature reserves, all within walking distance, then return to relax in the lounge with a coktail, tea or head down to the hotel’s pool.
In the mornings you will be greeted by a biggest smile and warmest heart to enjoy a full English breakfast.
The hotel has its own private car park at the rear of the hotel. This is accessible via Conduit Hill (off Cinque Ports Street). Please see our map.
If you have a lot of luggage we recommend coming up into the High Street and pulling up on the cobbles at the front of the hotel (on the right just beyond the Landgate) where you can unload your luggage. (The exception to this would be rooms 17 to 20 which have direct access from the car park).
