Although you will find plenty to see and do in our historic Cinque Port town, we know that sometimes our guests like to enjoy a break with a special interest theme.
Rye Lodge regularly hosts a programme of themed breaks. These Special Events include Wine tasting and Champagne tasting and appreciation with illustrated talks by Kerry de Courcy - well versed in the history and production of Champagne.
Our History Breaks include excursions to important local places such as Dover Castle, with its secret wartime tunnels, Leeds Castle Brighton Pavillion and many of the South East's premier Stately Homes.

Our Churchillian Interlude is a very special all inclusive two night break. You will enjoy a Champagne reception with a presentation on the history and production of Champagne with Champagne tasting.
We will visit Chartwell, Sir Winston’s country home where we will enjoy pre-lunch drinks and lunch with wine in the Mulberry Room followed by a private talk on Chartwell. (Transport and admission to Chartwell are included in your break).

A Champagne Break in Style
Throughout 2010
'A Celebration of Champagne' offers guests a chance to learn something of the history of Champagne, how it is made, and taste some of the world’s finest champagnes whilst being entertained with anecdotes about the world famous makers and some of their even more famous customers!
A fascinating illustrated talk is hosted by Kerry de Courcy - well versed in the history and production of Champagne. You will visit a vineyard and enjoy a Champagne Gala Dinner.
Enjoy all of the facilities at Rye Lodge, with time to explore the ancient streets of Rye at your leisure.
Champane Celebration Breaks are held two or three times a year in the Autumn and Spring and are usually attended by about twenty guests. However, they can also be arranged for private groups of four, six or more people at any time by arrangement - so if you would like to enjoy a Champagne Break at any time of the year - phone us on 01797 223838 and there may well be other people who would like to join with you for a small select party.

Rye Lodge Special Events are very popular, however, in the unusual circumstance that an event is insufficiently well booked to be viable, Rye Lodge Hotel reserves the right to cancel any Special Event up to 14 days prior to the date of arrival. Should an event cancellation be necessary guests already booked will be informed by telephone, with confirmation in writing, and may choose either to receive a full refund or to enjoy a stay with us at Rye Lodge at the best value tariff applicable for the room and dates booked with a complimentary upgrade to the best room available subject to hotel occupancy.
